2 General CLE or Access to Justice credits

Merriam-Webster defines “accessible” as “able to be reached or approached,” “able to be used or obtained,” and “easy to appreciate or understand.” So what does “accessible” mean in terms of providing legal services to an existing or potential client with a disability?
This seminar will provide an understanding of how to make your law practice open and approachable to all. Look at the history of how individuals with disabilities were treated in the past. Understand the basics of the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), and take a look at how to make your law practice accessible within the environments of physical access, communication, decision-making, and behavior. This two-hour seminar will provide invaluable takeaways to help you become approachable, user-friendly, and easy to understand as more individuals with disabilities seek access to legal services and the courts.
Accessibility Accommodations: Please call (503) 431-6352 or toll-free at (800) 452-8260, ext. 352, at least 72 hours before the date of the seminar.
